At Ready, Pup, Go! we offer group classes through the internationally recognized Pet Dog Ambassador (PDA) program, a five-level pathway that helps dogs and their families thrive in everyday life.

Starting as early as 8 weeks with Puppy Socialization and continuing through advanced skills at Levels 1–5, our classes focus on real-life manners, cooperative care, and confidence in public settings.

Each level builds on the last, giving you and your dog the tools to succeed at home, out in the community, and beyond while celebrating your progress with official PDA credentials along the way.

Group Classes will be held at The Friendly Bark, a new indoor dog park located in Lynnwood, WA.

Ready, Pup, Grow! – Puppy Socialization

Give your puppy the best start in life! This class focuses on safe socialization, confidence building, and early manners during your puppy’s critical learning window. You’ll get hands-on coaching to help your puppy grow into a happy, well-adjusted dog.

Help your puppy grow into a confident, well-mannered family member:

  • Safe introductions to new people, sounds, and surfaces
  • Confidence-building play and exploration
  • Handling practice for vet and grooming visits
  • Prevention for common challenges (mouthing, guarding, potty training)
  • Puppy playtime in a safe, supportive environment
  • Early training foundations (sit, name recognition, recall)

Pet Dog Ambassador Level 1 – Foundations

For dogs 4 months and older, this entry-level course teaches essential life skills and cooperative care. You and your dog will practice sit, recall, polite greetings, leash skills, handling, and calm settles all using positive reinforcement. Level 1 lays the foundation for a lifetime of good manners and prepares you for your first PDA credential.

Give your dog the skills they need for everyday life:

  • Sit politely and calmly accept a collar touch
  • Trade toys and food without conflict
  • “Leave it” when asked — even around tempting items
  • Walk politely on leash without pulling
  • Greet people and dogs with good manners
  • Wait calmly for meals instead of diving in
  • Come when called, even with distractions
  • Cooperate with vet and grooming handling
  • Relax on a mat or bed when asked

Pet Dog Ambassador Level 2 – Life Skills

For dogs 6 months and older, this class builds reliability in real-life situations. You’ll strengthen recalls, leash manners, car and door etiquette, polite greetings, and handling for vet care. Dogs also learn to stay calm when left briefly alone, a valuable everyday skill!

Strengthen your dog’s manners for real-world reliability:

  • Calm, safe car entry and exit
  • Wait politely at doors and gates
  • Ignore tempting food or objects on cue
  • Leash manners with polite greetings on walks
  • Reliable recalls with added collar touch
  • Emergency stop for safety in busy settings
  • Longer stays and calm settles in distracting places
  • Handling for exams and care routines
  • Comfortably wait alone for short periods

Take your training into the community! Level 3 focuses on advanced manners in real-world settings such as street walks, polite dog-to-dog interactions, longer stays, and calm settles in public. Your dog will also learn to confidently accept handling from strangers.

Take your training out into the community:

  • Manners at public entrances and exits
  • Ignore dropped food or street distractions
  • Walk politely through busy streets and public areas
  • Stay calm and focused while being fed near distractions
  • Advanced recalls in higher-stress environments
  • Reliable emergency stop at greater distance
  • Accept handling from unfamiliar people
  • Relax quietly in public spaces like cafés and events
  • Remain calm when briefly left with another handler

Pet Dog Ambassador Level 4 – Advanced Manners

(8-week class)

For dogs 12 months and older, Level 4 introduces complex skills in busy environments like cafés, events, and community spaces. Training includes advanced recalls, emergency stops, off-leash focus, and calm behavior around distractions.

Prepare for life in busier, more complex environments:

  • Step back politely at doors and entrances
  • Leash manners in distracting public settings
  • Advanced recalls with added control at the finish
  • Emergency stops at longer distances
  • Calm and polite “end-of-walk” routines
  • Confidence when left alone for longer periods in public

(8-week class)

The final stage of the PDA program showcases your teamwork at the highest level. Level 5 emphasizes polished off-leash reliability, cooperative care, and confident public access manners. Together, you and your dog will demonstrate that you’re true ambassadors in your community.

Showcase your dog’s ambassador-level skills:

  • Calm car and entrance manners in real-life settings
  • Loose-leash walking in busy public spaces (100+ meters)
  • “Leave it” around human food in public areas
  • Relax and settle calmly in cafés or events
  • Reliable recall away from major distractions
  • Handle short separations with ease
  • Socialize politely with people and dogs in public
  • Plus two specialty skills (such as vet exam, emergency stop, or polite greetings)
  • Real-world assessment in community locations (like cafés, beaches, or events)
