Estimated reading time: 7 minutes

Living in Snohomish County means you’re within easy reach of some of the most dog-friendly terrain in the entire country. PNW dog adventures like alpine trails, vineyard patios, ferry rides to island towns, off-leash beaches with Olympic Mountain views, and a handful of places so genuinely unusual they deserve a road trip of their own- it’s all within a few hours of Lynnwood and Monroe. No matter what time of year, we have over 101 dog-friendly day trips to explore!

The hard part isn’t finding dog-friendly spots. It’s knowing which ones are actually worth the drive, and which ones will turn you away at the gate despite what the internet said.

We’ve done that research for you. Every destination on this list has been sourced and verified, because there’s nothing worse than loading up the car, driving an hour, and discovering dogs aren’t welcome where you thought they were. From the well-known to the genuinely off-the-beaten-path, these 101+ day trips cover every kind of outing: breweries and wineries, hikes across distinct landscapes, beaches and waterfronts, charming small towns, sculpture parks, wildlife viewing, seasonal festivals, and a few one-of-a-kind experiences you won’t find on any generic “pet-friendly Washington” roundup.

These are the best things to do with your dog in Washington State. There is something here for every pup!
